Summary

Permissions the App Uses

Screen Recording — Required to capture your display for Draw, Freeze, Spotlight, Whiteboard overlays, and related presentation tools. Processing happens on your Mac. HoverBoard does not upload live screen content to codeonholiday servers.

Accessibility — Required to register global hotkeys and deliver overlay controls while you present in other apps.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Some features will stop working if permissions are removed.

Local Data

HoverBoard stores the following on your Mac:

This data remains under your control. Deleting boards, sessions, or uninstalling the app removes the corresponding local files.

Exports You Choose to Make

When you copy, save, or export PNG, SVG, PDF, or Excalidraw files, those files are written to locations you select on your Mac or shared through standard macOS share sheets. HoverBoard does not automatically upload exports.

License Verification

If you purchase HoverBoard Pro, the app communicates with our licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy) to activate and validate your license key. This may include transmitting your license key, a device identifier, and basic technical information required for validation.

Payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card details.

Software Updates

HoverBoard uses Sparkle to check for app updates. Update checks may contact our update server and transmit the app version and system information needed to deliver updates securely.

Website Analytics

The codeonholiday.com website may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic. The HoverBoard app itself does not include usage analytics or advertising trackers on your screen content.

Children

HoverBoard is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
