How do I install and set up LocalMelody?

What Mac do I need?
LocalMelody requires macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon. 16 GB RAM is the minimum; 32 GB or more is recommended for higher-quality models and smoother generation.
Does it need an internet connection?
You need internet for the first-time runtime and model downloads, license activation and updates. Generation itself runs locally once setup is complete.
What is included in Free and Pro?
Free supports 15-second generations with automatic controls. Pro Lifetime unlocks longer songs, sound controls, voice reference, lyrics refinement and audio/lyrics export. Both plans can generate lyrics in English, Tiếng Việt, Español, and Simplified Chinese.
Which languages can lyrics be generated in?
Lyrics generation supports English, Tiếng Việt, Español, and Simplified Chinese (简体中文). Choose the language in the lyrics options before you generate.
Is Pro a subscription?

Yes. MusicGen is available as an instrumental workflow, while ACE-Step generates music with vocals.
What happens to my prompts and audio?
LocalMelody does not send your prompts, lyrics or generated audio to a codeonholiday backend. The app does contact third-party services for licensing, updates and model downloads; see the Privacy Policy for details.
