Terms of Service

1. The service

LocalMelody is a local AI music studio for macOS. It can generate music, vocals, lyrics and instrumental audio using local runtimes and models. Generation quality, duration and availability may vary by hardware, model, setup and third-party dependencies.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, codeonholiday grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LocalMelody on Mac computers that you own or control. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute the app or license keys, or circumvent license validation except where permitted by law.

The Free version has the limitations shown in the app. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks the Pro features described on the website and in the app; it is not a subscription.

3. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy. The price and payment terms shown at checkout control the transaction. Refund requests are handled under Lemon Squeezy's applicable refund policy and can also be directed to [email protected].

4. Your content and AI output

You are responsible for prompts, lyrics, audio files, voice references and other content you provide to or create with LocalMelody. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use uploaded voice references and must not use the app to infringe rights, impersonate people or violate law.

AI output may be inaccurate, similar to existing works or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Review output before publishing or commercial use and comply with applicable third-party model licenses.

5. Third-party services

LocalMelody may use Lemon Squeezy, Sparkle, GitHub, Ollama, model hosts and other third-party services for payments, licensing, updates, model downloads or local runtime setup. Their terms and availability apply separately, and codeonholiday is not responsible for third-party outages or changes.

6. Updates and termination

We may release updates, bug fixes and new features. You may stop using LocalMelody at any time. We may suspend or terminate a license when it is invalid, fraudulently obtained or used in violation of these Terms.

7. Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalMelody is provided without warranties that generation will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for your needs. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the app, including lost data, output or business opportunities.
